Sustainability
Our vision
Having a sustainable approach means adopting practical measures that provide a guarantee for internal and external stakeholders (personnel, suppliers, customers, investors, etc.).
We believe in the positive impact that these actions have in the short term on trust in our company, maximising loyalty to the organisation and, in the long term, on financial savings and improvement of the state of the environment in which we live.
We work on several levels of sustainability: energy, by boosting the efficiency of our processes; environmental, via a sorted waste collection regime; corporate, with our commitment to adopt practices that improve working environments and routines.
Practical actions
Thanks to our solar power plant, ATAM generates an average of 33,000 kWh of clean energy every year. Our photovoltaic panels provide 5% of the company's energy requirements, thus reducing our impact on the atmosphere.
To remove plastic from our offices, Atam provides each member of staff with a steel flask and has installed water dispensers in all departments, resulting in an annual saving of 25,000 plastic bottles, equivalent to 2 tons of avoided CO2 emissions.
In its offices and production plants, ATAM pursues a policy of sorted collection for metal, paper and cardboard, plastic and organic waste materials. We also recycle an impressive 52 tons of plastic scrap in our production process, operating through certified channels.
For climate control requirements in its production departments and warehouses, ATAM chose to install a CFC-free air conditioning system, which also features lower energy consumption than conventional A/C solutions.
ATAM looks after its personnel and the environment by certifying its control of noise emissions in the company and atmospheric dust emissions in accordance with laws and regulations.
The adoption of advanced technological solutions allows ATAM to reduce the use of paper, in line with its waste reduction aims. Moreover, careful research into materials employed in production processes makes it possible to choose sustainable alternatives to existing systems.
